Meet Stephen
Stephen Stepanek is the epitome of a New Hampshire leader. A family man
with a successful business background who has common sense ideas on how
to preserve what¹s best about New Hampshire.
Stephen is currently serving in his third term as a State Representative for
Hillsborough District 6 (Amherst, Milford). In his second term,
Representative Stepanek was appointed Vice-chairman of the Commerce
Committee. He now serves on the House Finance Committee and is also a
Republican Whip.
Representative Stepanek serves on a number of community boards and
committees including the Hillsborough County Executive Committee, which he
has been a member for 5 years. He has served for five years as one of four
non-lawyer members on the New Hampshire Supreme Court Professional Conduct
Committee (PCC) and also serves on the board of the Granite State Taxpayers,
an organization founded by former Governor Meldrim Thomson dedicated to
responsible spending and affordable taxes.
As a former Selectman for the Town of Amherst, he helped guide the town
through the economic upswing of the early 90?s and also served on the
Amherst Ways and Means Committee. Stephen is very active in the Milford
Rotary Club and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also served as a
trustee of the Strawberry Bank Museum of Portsmouth.
For 25 years, Stepanek was President and co-founder of Hampshire Paper
Corporation located in Milford, NH. He holds four US patents for products he
developed while at Hampshire Paper Corp.
He now is a managing Partner of White Cliff Realty LLC, which owns and
manages office and commercial real estate in downtown Manchester.
Representative Stepanek is also President and majority owner of White Cliff
Technology, a company focused on developing injectors for over-fire air and
sorbent injection for air pollution control. In addition, he is President
and majority owner of White Cliff Communications LLC, a company focusing on
developing, building and owning wireless communication facilities.
Stephen and his wife, Barbara, have been married for over 25 years and have
three daughters. They have been residents of Amherst for over 20 years.
Representative Stepanek was born in Milton, Massachusetts, attended Needham
High School, and graduated cum laude from Villanova University. |
